It produced 407,000 barrels of crude oil in 2023 compared with producing 402,000 barrels in 2022. The company will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.60 per share on April 1, 2024. That is a 10-cent increase from its last quarterly dividend. Imperial has a market cap of $40.68-billion.
Uranium Royalty Corp. has arranged a $22.9-million (U.S.) bought deal offering of 6.72 million shares at $3.40 (U.S.) per share. The company expects to close the offering on or around February 9, 2024. The company has a market cap of $501.67-million.
Sylogist Ltd. has received a “buy” rating from Suthan Sukumar, an analyst at Stifel Financial Corp. Mr. Sukumar is targeting the shares at $14. Most analysts target the shares closer to $11. In the company’s last quarterly results (period ended September 30, 2023), Sylogist earned $1.48-million on revenue of $16.76-million. The company earned $2.62-million on revenue of $14.23-million in the comparable period of 2022. Sylogist has a market cap of $206.26-million.
Guardian Capital Group Ltd. has agreed to acquire Sterling Capital Management LLC from Trust Financial Corp. Guardian will make the acquisition through its subsidiary, Guardian Capital LLC. The company will pay $70-million (U.S.) upon closing the acquisition. The company expects to close the transaction in Q2 2024. Guardian plans to operate Sterling as a standalone entity. Sterling is an investment adviser company headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. Guardian has a market cap of $122.13-million.
Impact Analytics Inc. has arranged a $2-million private placement of 1.55 million units at $1.29 per unit. Each unit will consist of one share and one-half of a share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to buy a share of the company at $2 for a period of one year. Units are subject to a four-month hold. Impact Analytics has a market cap of $44.37-million.
Kootenay Silver Inc. has arranged a $2.5-million private placement of 75-cent units. Each unit will consist of one share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each warrant will entitle the holder to acquire a share of the company at $1.10 for a period of 24 months from closing. The company expects to close the offer on the week of February 16, 2024. Kootenay has a market cap of $33.86-million.
Troy Minerals Inc. was halted 30 minutes before close today. The company’s stock dropped 40% before the halt was put in place. The company has no news out, since detailing its Lac Jacques drill program on January 30, 2024. In the first two days of February, the company’s shares dropped from $1.70 per share to $0.60. Trading volume is the highest the company has seen in the last 52 weeks. On January 30, the company had a market cap of $85.54-million. Today, its market cap is $30.19-million. It will be interesting to see what news comes out from Troy next week.
Anaergia Inc. has closed the first tranche of its $40.8-million investment deal from Marny Investissement SA. The company issued 31.25 million units to Marny for gross proceeds of $12.5-million. Each unit consists of one share and one-fifth of one share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase an additional share of Anaergia for $0.80 for a period of three years. In connection with the closing of the first tranche, Ronen Kantor has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Alan Viterbi is resigning from the company’s board. Anaergia has a market cap of $9.62-million.
